  Questions & Answers

Can I support the scheme; Everyone is invited to participate from those who wish to have a single tree planted through to companies becoming member partners planting trees to offset the carbon footprints that they and their customers are laying down.

Costs; We enter into many discussions with regard to our pricing structure. Its primarily based upon the Forestry Commission, DEFRA and the Natural England directives. The partnership is made up of companies and individuals immediately associated and focussed within woodland development, management and British native broad-leaved tree production so our competitiveness stems from our knowledge of the complete industry and the unit prices of carbon credits which will always remain a key element within our business plans.

What am I paying for; Which ever option selected, you pay only for the trees and their associated planting sundries, with the planting and woodland management carried out by the partnerships land bank partner members

What size tree would be planted; In order to attain a continual and progressive reduction of CO2 we need to plant in a range of sizes and ages from 2 years with an initial height of 90/120cm plus through to specimens of 7yrs in excess of 3.5mt plus, these larger trees generally sponsored by industrial companies and businesses who themselves today are recognising the need to offset CO2 emissions.

Where would I plant one or more trees in order for them to grow to maturity; As with anything to achieve the best it needs careful planning, Broad-leaved trees are not ideal for private gardens. The Carbon Footprint - Offsetting Partnership work with a national land bank here in the UK creating new commercial woodlands and forests of the future.

Who plants them; We have qualified Horticulturists and Arboriculturists and Contractors to plant. Drawing on the expertise from within Wildlife and Groundwork Trusts, Local Conservation Groups throughout the UK so your trees are in perfect hands.

What type of trees; Only British native broad-leaved trees that are our recommendations planted in low-profile surroundings. Working with our tree planting partners and with their local environmental knowledge, your native broad-leaved trees will be found homes where they are most needed; creating new woodlands and nature reserves, supplementing hedgerows, alongside our highways, rivers and farmland.

How many trees should I purchase; The choice is yours we work with clients who want to plant singular to those who want to plant multiple trees throughout the year for family and friends

Why do I buy from you; We have a proven track record in both production of broadleaf trees and woodland management with a client base and a land bank within The Carbon Footprint - Offsetting Partnership here in the UK where tens on thousands of trees can be planted within any one site in order to create managed and worked woodlands ensuring that your purchase is within close proximity to your residence or business.

What do I receive; Once the trees have been allocated a site and planted the Carbon Footprint Offsetting Partnership certificate will be posted out, making it an ideal gift for family and friends.
