Offset those excess carbon
emissions by planting trees into our
Certified Forestry Tree Planting
Scheme
The planting of new forests and
woodlands is recognised by DEFRA as positive Eco -action. The planting of tens of
thousands in any one location provides the natural and proven means in filtering out the
excess CO2 from the atmosphere but it needs to happen here in the UK to improve
our environment.
We will plant as many or as few
trees as you wish, costs are fixed at £2.75 all inclusive per tree, some in the carbon offsetting
marketing industry believe and suggest that our pricing structure is too low, in reply we
will state, our costs are derived from 35 years of forestry tree production, woodland
planting and management backed up by the Forestry Commissions new woodlands and the
woodland regeneration schemes guide.
Every fourth tree we plant is
directly linked to education, firstly by involving school pupils in planting trees within
the partnership and secondly sponsoring a Osram / Philips energy saving light bulb to be
taken home and switched on by a school pupils.
Each tree planted
‘offsets’ the environmental impact by breathing in and absorbing into its
bio-mass about 700 kg CO2 emissions equal to our lifetime on earth, though
trees can live on for centuries. To attain a balance it is estimated that the average
person needs to save about 7,000 kg of CO2 per year. So switching to energy
saving commodities and planting as few as 5 trees each year to absorb the excess emissions
is one strategy for achieving this.
Personalised certificates will be
mailed out to the recipient once the trees are allocated a site and payment has been
received.
