Time 4 Trees was established by nurserymen Richard Thorpe proprietor of R & N Plant Specialists to deliver a series of affordable sponsored national forestry and hedgerow planting projects managed by professional horticulturist and foresters with a strong emphasis on promoting and planting only British native provenance plants with a direct link to renewable clean energy projects.

Our core business is to develop and deliver an overall integrated sustainable horticultural / forestry and landscaping environmental perspective, in bringing together those who are in search of greener credentials through the means of affordable planting projects conjoined renewable energy projects, with those who are planning and planting the new woodlands / hedgerows of tomorrow but less fortunate with funding, these include Tree Wardens, Wildlife Trusts, Conservation Groups, Charitable Trusts, Community Projects, Farmers and Rural Landowners.

Equally we recognise the importance of working with those in commerce who have the ability of introducing the greener attributes through in-house landscaping projects.

Today the project is encompassed by a national team of foresters and environmentalists, working sustainable forestry, woodland projects that will be handed down generation after generation well into the next century and beyond. And it really doesn’t cost the earth to participate.

So when we talk in pence or £’s to plant on your behalf within our projects, we’ve got it absolutely right and with 10% of every planted hedgerow plant invested into renewable energy projects, which provides funding to our Ash Tree Surgery Fund and further investment into Tropical forestry plantings we are doing so much more than just planting native provenance trees and hedgerows?

As with any living things, despite all the care and attention to detail when planting and maintaining, there will be inevitably a small percentage of plant failures, as we are managing the projects we will replace any failures within the first three years of planting.

To ensure our “Great British Heritage” is protected, we only plant UK provenance trees that are grown from within this alliance under contract supervision by nursery stock company R & N Plant Specialists. With all forestry trees in compliance with the Certification of Forest Reproductive Material (Great Britain) regulations 2002 Voluntary Scheme for Native Trees and Shrubs. And are a registered company with Fera Plant Health who undertake plant health checks and inspections.

Every forestry tree we plant on your behalf will be registered into the CFOP & Landscape-UK data land bank. This means we will have complete traceability and provenance records in place for any subsequent timber sales. Our third party rainforest plantings are mapped with the Helveta’s innovative supply chain technology to record species, measurements and GPS co-ordinates. These systems provide us with complete chain of custody tracking to prove legality and provenance in compliance with international laws such as those defined under the Lacey Act (USA) and Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT – EU)
