| Trees
and Hedgerows 4
Schools Campaign -
Horticulture
has always been a major part of the national curriculum and we are eager to get as many
corporate and private sponsors on board - so we can get the kids planting.
All our
projects promote an educational focus and new tangible learning aspects. This generates
natural habitat creation, social benefits, biodiversity and healthier lifestyles by
collectively encouraging a hands on approach.
Queen
Elizabeth II’s 2012 Diamond Jubilee
and our 2012 Diamond Jubilee Schools Celebration Project, is based upon getting 2012
rural/village Infant and Primary schools each planting 20+12 native provenance
trees/shrubs (20 native provenance broadleaf trees and 12 native woody shrubs with all
plant protection). These will be planted into their school grounds or within the immediate
countryside, creating wildlife habitats by way of planting a single copse of trees or by
dividing the planting pack up and planting two celebration groves. The plantings commenced
on 2011 National Tree Week and will be finishing by 2012 National Tree Week, making it an
educational and hands on tree celebration.
To
achieve our target of 60,000+ trees planted by 2012 Infant and Primary Schools, we need
your help and support. If you buy a £60 per 20+12 school planting pack, the pupils might
ask for your helpand support in planting or generating media coverage. Certificates will
be mailed ot to sponsors and schools.
