Ethical Forestry Investments -

Being the case that "Money" doesn’t grow on trees it grows with trees

Timber Investments are nothing new and we as commercial growers are always investing long term in our tree crops. And in some cases a decade will have passed before the stock is ultimately sold on, though forests are generally grown for a lifetime, the same principles in value apply. And even if the stock market crashes nearing the time of sale, the harvest can be delayed with the trees simply growing bigger and increasing in value. This is why today forestry is attracting more institutions and hedge fund managers are investing in timber more than ever before. And with a consistent return on investments now at 14pc year on year – this will only continue.

As nurserymen we always find year one to be a loss due to initial investment, labour and establishment costs. But thereafter once a plant establishes and matures, its value increases annually.

With this in mind we recognise that the sponsored trees we plant on your behalf will yield a good return on investment, even after taking into consideration the sustainable forestry management costs and the land value to which they are planted on.

Today the CFOP & Landscape-UK are promoting the values of socially responsible forestry. Investing in the Tropics where timber grows at its fastest not by means of dividends paid out but simply by reinvesting after year two, the increased timber asset value of the crop annually into planting more trees on your behalf.

An example would be if you planted a minimum of 200 trees annually in our Tropical Rainforest Projects, minimum value £400, then from year two onwards until harvested, we will plant an additional 20 trees. This will represent a 10% return on your initial investment, with certificates provided for all plantings. We appear the only ones to offer this which makes the CFOP & Landscape-UK, the global market leaders in sustainable forestry practices.

The CFOP is pleased to play its part in this the
