CO2 Educational
Workshops
A title
which in its entirety covers a broad spectrum of issues against the topics carbon
footprint offsetting and climate change.
Education
is a key topic within our agenda. We believe every youngster should have the
opportunity to become involved in planting trees, in creating new woodlands, learning
about nature and the environment with a hands on approach.
Our Trees 4 Schools scheme involves youngsters in planting
every fourth tree within partnership and new woodlands with each participating child
receiving a Philips / Osram energy saving light bulb to take home and switch on.
The logistics of pupils planting
trees into the partnerships new designated woodlands throughout the country may not in
some cases make it logistically feasible, where ever not, we will liaise with the school
to identify a designated area within the school grounds, or liaise with the immediate
Local Authority, Wildlife Conservation and Groundwork Trusts to identify a designated area
within open paces where a quantity of British native broad-leaved trees which we will
supply can be planted by pupils.
To all our sponsors and schools a
personalised carbon footprint certificate will be forwarded and wherever possible we will
liaise with the local media to attain increased awareness.
To register a school into the Trees 4 Schools Scheme email us today outlining the
School name along with the Head Teacher and contact details. |
