Now that doesn’t sound a lot! But lets go back to basics our £1.40 per tree 2012 national tree planting campaign, target 4.25 million forestry trees planted x £0.20 that’s £850k then add our 2020 Mile Hedgerow project of 200 miles 1.6 million plants planted annually that’s another £320K combined that’s £1m plus into renewable energy projects which benefits the recipients of such installations with ongoing reduced energy bills.

2012 Jubilee National and Localised £1.40 Planting Campaign

In addition to the planting of 4.25m trees during the 2012 National Tree Week we will be planting 212012 English Oaks which represent a significant part of our Great British heritage into swathes spanning out through the new commercial forests and woodlands to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's 2012 Diamond Jubilee with 2012 schools across the UK also planting commemorative English Oaks into their own grounds.

Hedgerows are linear woodlands / forests and the green lungs of our planet; Sequestering our carbon emissions, the nectar source for bees and other pollinators, providing an array of food sources through foliage, berries, nuts roots, shoots, fungi, etc being harvested, are the wildlife havens alive with a record number of 1,500 insects, and homes to 65 birds and 20 mammal species.

UK Registered Woodland Carbon Code planting projects As the leading growers and foresters we will always remain at the forefront of forestry industry by working with those who are registering into quantified carbon capture we have the opening for the placement of native provenance forestry trees in some 200 hectares of new UK woodlands. In addition we are adherent to the governing forestry legislation world-wide so many more of our plantations will become the registered carbon sinks of the future. The recently launched Forestry Commissions Woodland Carbon Code offers us both direct and indirect United Kingdom openings into potential planting sites which through the duration of time should result in national coverage by county. (And its pleasing to note that there is scope for woodlands planted since 1 January 2000, until 31 July 2013 might!! be eligible for acceptance into the Woodland Carbon Code. After which projects ought to be registered within two years of commencement of planting)
