& Landscape-UK is the largest national tree planting project within the United
Kingdom. Having recently come under criticism from other companies offering similar tree
plantings with regard to our highly competitive pricing polices, where by we charge less
than £5.00 per forestry tree whip, we wish to state that "The C.F.O.P &
Landscape-UK project developed from within the Horticultural Industry and today evolves
around some of the industries leading Commercial British Forestry Tree Nurseries, backed
up by a team of dedicated Arboricultural and Forestry Contracting companies with our
structured pricing policy based upon the publicly funded government forestry grant aided
projects which have been instrumental in forestry plantings both past and present
day".

About Us
The C.F.O.P
Carbon Footprint Offsetting Partnership was established in October of 2000 by Richard
Thorpe Business partner of nursery stock company R & N Plant Specialists. Primary
goal to develop a national and affordable tree planting project for people and businesses
in the UK wanting to redress the environmental balance; where solitary tree plantings
would ultimately merge into the woodlands and forests of the future.
Upon
securing a substantial land bank, we commenced in 2005 with some 478,000 British native
trees planted to date. Today that initial concept has extended into a planting program
that will take in some 6000 hectares of land with in excess of 5,000,000 British native
trees to be planted with plans to extend through some 28,000 hectares by 2030.
As with
any forward moving project of such magnitude it soon became apparent that other elements
needed to be addressed and linked to the project to ensure that we continually strive to
stay ahead of all others.
Biodiversity
is a key element to our strengths in addressing the environmental balance and our in house
relationship with the Landscape Industry as a whole ensures we can manage, measure and
improve on all issues of biodiversity.
Working
with the governing forestry authorities we are developing a national network of SRC (Short
Rotation Coppice) Wood Fuel Plantations which not only strengthens our tree planting
philosophy but also as forestry tree growers introduces us to those wishing to adopt the
grow and burn process with their own large or small wood fuel plantations.
By
strengthening our commitment and market presence, we are today partnered with
Landscape-UK. This brings together the complete wealth of the landscape industry as one,
to ensure C.F.O.P & Landscape - UK makes tree planting affordable to all who wish to
participate with a single pricing strategy built around that of grant aided or
publicly funded tree planting projects.
As the
C.F.O.P & Landscape – UK project is of such magnitude and working with many from
within the complete landscape industry we have seized upon the opportunity to compile the
Landscape Industries greener than green A to Z Portal where subscriptions directly pay for
trees to be planted into the C.F.O.P & Landscape – UK Project.
